Ingredients:

500 g strawberries
½ l Grappa
400 g sugar
½ vanilla bean

Preparation:

The choice of strawberries is essential for this recipe:
 choose fresh, not too ripe and medium size strawberries.
Pour the Grappa and sugar into a saucepan, simmer  until the sugar melts and stir occasionally.
Allow to cool completely.
Gently wash and dry the strawberries, remove the stems and place them in a glass jar: cover everything with sweetened Grappa, add the vanilla bean and store the tightly sealed jar in a cool place.

Notes:

The strawberries will have to rest for at least sixty days before using them.
