Rum

Brandy derived from the distillation of sugar cane juice or molasses that come from sugar refineries. The first reference of sugar cane production goes back to "Père du Tertre" after a trip in Carribean areas lasting from 1640 to 1657. More accurate news come from the Dominican Labat dated 1694. The English called it rum which seems to have been derived from an abbreviation of saccarum. There are two types of rum: agriculture rum and industrial rum. The Ron produced in Cuba is known as Ron.
