Contraction
Phenomenon produced during the mixing of water with spirits, by taking into account the two liquids have got a different molecular volume: bigger as for the alcohol one and smaller for water. (for instance in 100 grappa liters at 40°, calculated at 20°C, there are 40 liters of pure grappa and 63,35 liters of distillated water; the contraction phenomenon takes 3,35 water liters away).
