Arak

(or Arrak, Arraki, Arack, Raki) These names all refer to the alcoholic drinks of the Central Asia. In India the arrack is produced from the fermented lymph of palms. In Batavia it’s a strongly aromatizing rum. In Middle East and in Egypt it’s a brandy dates. Also in Greece, the arrack is produced from wheat.
